Markets
Blenheim Central is host to an array of regular and event based based market days across the annual calendar. These markets offer a unique way to show off our local producers, artisans, crafters and community groups. They offer opportunities to celebrate our local communities, catch up with our friends, and enjoy the fantastic Marlborough climate!
The BBA supports these markets through their role as liaison with council, CBD businesses and embracing events that add to the vibrancy and diversity of our town.
Some of the key dates in the market calendar include:
Marlborough Artisan Market - Weekly Artisan market highlighting the best of Marlborough art, crafts, food and produce. Commencing this year on Saturday 3 October at the Quays on High Street.
Mistletoe Market - A large selection of stalls with something for everyone - food, gifts, jewellery, clothes... A great opportunity to pick up some wonderful Christmas gifts! Held on the first Saturday in December.
Wine & Food Festival Market - Kick start the Wine & Food Festival weekend and enjoy a fun filled day with a visit to the annual festival market. Browse the stalls show casing a large selection of craft, art, clothing, jewellery, woodwork, food and produce from the Top of the South.
Feast Marlborough - Marlborough’s finest produce coupled with incredible local talent, live entertainment and festivity. With its street party vibe, festive lights and a mouth watering range of exciting food options, the Bayleys Friday Night Feast is a local favourite. Hit up this food lovers’ festival in the centre of Blenheim for a celebration of Marlborough food, the people who make it happen and the culinary geniuses who bring it all together.
In February 2018 the BBA worked with the Artisan Market committee to bring the Wine & Food Market day to life with live entertainers, buskers and musicians. The day was a great success and has since continued to be a day that Blenheim residents mark in their calendar to welcome in one of the biggest weekends of the year for Marlborough - Wine & Food Festival weekend!
In October 2020, the BBA hosted a ‘Live Mannequin’ hour in the town centre. For 1 hour, shop windows were transformed into live theatre spaces to add vibrancy and activity to your Saturday morning’s shopping experience!
